This UK band is the creation of James Chapman (b. Northampton, Northamptonshire, England). Growing up in one of the most unexciting towns in the UK had a positive effect on Chapman, as he bought some DJ turntables and holed himself up in his bedroom with some quality vinyl. His music of choice was a mixture of the cooler indie bands and producers from the late 80s and 90s, including the Stone Roses, Spiritualized, Two Lone Swordsmen, and Aphex Twin. Chapman's love of music became so strong that when he went to university, he missed it so much he started to become depressed. An illness in that period gave him time to reflect, and to resolve that his first love was music.
