Isobel Campbell
b. 27 April 1976, Glasgow, Scotland. Indie pop singer-songwriter and cellist Campbell made her name in the late 90s with the celebrated Scottish twee pop band Belle And Sebastian, before embarking on a solo career in the early 00s. Campbell worked with Belle And Sebastian from 1996 until 2002, playing cello and providing lead and backing vocals, in addition to composing a number of the band's songs. During her time with Belle And Sebastian she also recorded two albums of mournful chamber pop with her own project, the Gentle Waves.
