This US pop punk supergroup were formed in 2005 by former Blink-182 members Travis Barker (b. 14 November 1975, Fontana, California, USA; drums) and Mark Hoppus (b. Markus Allan Hoppus, 15 March 1972, Ridgecrest, California, USA; bass/vocals), Shane Gallagher (b. 12 May 1976, Los Angeles, California, USA; guitar, ex-Nervous Return), and former Transplants touring guitarist Craig Fairbaugh (b. 11 March 1978, California, USA). Named after the international dialling code for the UK, the band came together when Barker and Hoppus were rooting around for a new musical outlet following the demise of Blink-182. Initial demos featured Get The Girl vocalist Carol Heller but she departed when Gallagher was brought on board. The project began to pick up speed with the addition of Fairbaugh and a contract was signed with the major label Interscope Records. Released at the end of 2006, When Your Heart Stops Beating was a disappointingly conservative pop punk release, with only "Make You Smile" (featuring original vocalist Heller) offering an indication of any experimental urges.
