Equipped with a newfound social conscience, former Blink 182 co-frontman Tom Delonge abandoned the scatological humor-driven pop punk of his old band in favor of the anthemic, inspired rock of his new band Angels And Airwaves. While still adept at writing a powerfully catchy pop hook, Delonge infused his new project with a sense of musical and lyrical grandeur that--bordering on the melodramatic--would have seemed preposterous in the context of Blink 182. With Angels And Airwaves, however, Delonge is clearly serious about what he has to say.
