Architecture In Helsinki
Formed in rural Victoria, Australia in the late 90s, this collective is made up largely of school friends with a talent for playing many instruments. The original line-up featured Cameron Bird (b. 13 March 1979, Carlton, Victoria, Australia; vocals, guitar, keyboards, percussion, synthesizer), James Landsborough-Mildren (b. 16 October 1978, Dubbo, New South Wales, Australia; guitar, percussion, synthesizer), Sam Perry (b. 2 April 1981, Charlton, Victoria, Australia; bass, percussion, synthesizer), and James Cecil (drums). Decamping to Melbourne stimulated Bird to buy a guitar and coincided with the addition of Kellie Sutherland (b. 11 January 1978, Darlinghurst, Sydney, Australia; vocals, keyboards, percussion, synthesizer) to the band. With Bird as the eccentric frontman, they performed a few shambolic gigs before going into hibernation.

At first, I hated this band. After listening to them for awhile though, they started growing on me. Their songs always make me laugh and put me in a good mood. I don't consider the singing to be very good, but the songs are so comical that I love I them.
