b. Ashley Ward Parker, 1 August 1981, Redding, California, USA. Angel rose to fame in the early 00s as a member of the reality television spawned teen pop outfit O-Town. Despite enjoying a series of US hit singles, O-Town fell apart in 2003 amid growing discontent about the members' financial situation. The sparky, handsome Angel was a natural for a solo career, and he duly signed a solo contract with Blackground/Universal the following year. Angel followed the O-Town path to stardom by starring in the MTV reality series There And Back: Ashley Parker Angel, which documented the relaunching of his solo career and his relationship with his fianc‚e Tiffany Lynn. Angel's high media profile helped push his debut single "Let U Go" into the US Top 20 in April 2006. The following month's Soundtrack To Your Life proved to be a surprisingly pleasant collection of melodic rock, with a rough-edged charm that placed Angel's music worlds away from O-Town's production line pop.
