This US pop punk band was formed in 2002 by Matt Young (vocals), Will Nutter (guitar/keyboards), Justin Westcott (guitar), Tyler Peerson (bass), and Blake Evans (drums). Originally known as Follow Through, by 2004 the band had adopted the Amber Pacific moniker and settled with a more permanent line-up, with Greg Strong and Dango replacing Peerson and Evans respectively. After signing a contract with the Californian independent label Hopeless Records, the new-look quintet made its recording debut as Amber Pacific in 2004 with the Fading Days EP. The five tracks on the EP revealed a youthful passion and a certain lack of originality. The album, The Possibility And The Promise, demonstrated greater musical depth and a harder edge, with the opening "Everything We Were Has Become What We Are" and "Gone So Young" notable high points.
