This US post-rock quartet was formed by Adam Turla (vocals/guitar), Sarah Balliet (cello), Matthew Armstrongv(bass), Alex Schrodt (drums), and Vincent Edwards (keyboards). Formed in Indiana in 2000 under the name Little Joe Gould, the band released an EP but soon changed their name, paying homage to Robert Moore's 1976 murder mystery movie. Discovered by Thursday vocalist Geoff Rickly, the quartet was signed to Eyeball Records in 2001 by owner Alex Saavedra.
