Teddy Geiger
b. John Theodore Geiger II, 16 September 1988, Buffalo, New York, USA. The title of Geiger's debut album Underage Thinking proved prescient, with the singer-songwriter hitting the mainstream charts before he had celebrated his 18th birthday. The precocious Geiger had learned to play piano and guitar before the age of 10, and spent the early years of high school ferociously writing songs. In 2004 he appeared on the VH1 talent show In Search Of The New Partridge Family, although his gruff rock voice seemed strangely at odds with the show's penchant for sweet pop. The show brought Geiger to the attention of noted producer Billy Mann who signed the young artist to his roster. Geiger's career took off in 2005, with the release of the Step Ladder EP followed by a major label recording contract with Columbia Records and a support slot on Hilary Duff's US tour.
