MHaaZI'm sorry, I wasn't quite aware the purpose of the programmed stations was to suck to begin with. It's ok though, there are enough people out there who enjoy the playlists/stations as they are, so I'll stop whining (about that at least).
And... just so you know... I do get the point of finetune (just not the sucky station part of it maybe?), or at least I think so. And yes, I would be really glad to create my own station and stop being a pain in the &$%!, but may I remind you that a user may only add 3 songs of the same artist to a playlist? This is a restriction which doesn't seem to apply to you, and so I came looking for a playlist instead of creating my own.
This 3-song restriction greatly limits the way one can construct a playlist, and makes it really difficult, if not impossible, to have, as you suggest, my "own" station, where there should be a consistency between the various songs and artists in there.
Just to avoid further useless discussion (about me not getting the point of it either or something like that), I DO get the point of the 3-song limit and I think it's a great thing, since that way we get to enjoy this service for free. Thank you. But wouldn't you agree that at some point past, let's say, 200 songs, one should be able to add 1 more song of each artist? Otherwise you're, sooner or later, almost forced to listen to crap. And that, I think, is not in the interest of the site nor the users.

MHaaZI really hate how you automatically consider anything involving a black artist R&B... most of this tracks are really rap, but on top of that not even good rap, just a bunch of comercial crap.
I know you think that anything that hits the "major" charts is R&B because they say so, but I think it's sad that you don't program the station according to what you think, and what you FEEL is R&B, instead of what they want to sell as such.
I'm sure you enjoy music and know a lot about it, so please: would it really be so hard for the finetune stations to stop being that mainstream and introducing some music that really fits into a category? I really don't care if the artists I'm listening to are good-looking, celeb-dating guys or just normal Joes and Janes who also happen to be good musicians.

It's considered R&B if it makes the R&B/Hip-Hop chart on any of the major national music publications like Billboard or raio & Records. nce it does, it is added to our own finetune managed stations...so it does include rappers as well as old school R&B artists who are still active and singing the old fashioned way.
